Best snow season in over 10 years!!

VICTORIA'S snow resorts are enjoying the best ski and snowboarding conditions for a decade.

Ski Report

Resorts are all reporting good condtions. Here are the details:

MT BULLER: Very good dry packed snow cover for skiing and boarding in open areas. Roads open and clear. Nine lifts operating. Snow depth: 56cm. Overnight temp: -5.4C.

MT HOTHAM: Skiing and boarding on a good cover of packed groomed snow in open areas. Road open, chains for two-wheel-drives, six lifts operating. Snow depth: 33cm. Overnight temp: -4.8C.

FALLS CREEK: Good dry packed snow cover for skiing and boarding. Road open and clear. Six lifts open. Snow depth: 39cm. Overnight Temp: -2.7C.

MT BAW BAW: Very good cover of firm packed, groomed snow in open areas. Excellent sight seeing and snow play. Five lifts operating. Snow depth: 35cm. Overnight temp: -2.7C.

LAKE MOUNTAIN: Excellent firm packed snow cover for cross country, tobogganing, sight seeing and snow play. Snow depth: 35cm. Overnight temp: -1C.

MT BUFFALO: Good packed snow cover for sight seeing and snow play. Snow depth: 10cm. Road open, watch out for icy patches.

DINNER PLAIN: Cross country is fair on a fresh dry ungroomed snow cover.
Snow depth: 14cm. Roads open, icy patches.

MT STIRLING: Cross country good on lower, excellent on upper trails. Snow depth: 23cm.

MT ST GWINEAR: Very good groomed snow cover for cross country on the main trails, good on ungroomed elsewhere. Snow depth: 37cm. Roads open and clear.

MT DONNA BUANG: Excellent snow cover for sight seeing, snow play and tobogganing. Snow depth: 22cm.
