New method to scam internet bank users

Yet another "Phishing" method to scam internet bank users.

This is how it works: you login your bank site dbs.com.sg or westpac.com.au or ETRADE.com

you do your banking or trading - then you open another window to browse other internet sites.

If you happen to come across a scammer site - it will send you a pop up window - that looks like your bank window - telling you to enter your banking details again.

Its like a mirror - by itself it contains nothing - but it reflects what you are doing elsewhere.

You enter the details - and then the fraudsters have your banking information.

To ensure that you are accessing a genuine banking site, prior to entering your login password details, always check the following:
- The web address - make sure this reflects the correct site address
- SSL status - the latest IE and Firefox will show SSL authentication in its address bar.

I will check the above before I enter my details, and also just before I click "Login".
